Theressia is that kind of artist who does not stitch without a thread, who knows what they are doing at all times and leaves nothing to the whim of chance, although sometimes their decisions may seem unusual or out of place. Now, made up of Big Beat and Breakbeat, Theressia presents modifications to Trip-Hop by injecting ancestral traditions in the form of pre-Hispanic winds, drums and prayers that represent airs of freshness for electronic music.

The aggressiveness and power of his first album, entitled ‘Zoma’, arises from the social construction that colossal Mexico City is building. Its noises and intercultural essence carry a strong symbolic charge that, in each song, is expressed in a unique way, endowing of dynamism and diversity to the album.

The whole of the album manages to provide introspection, an absorbing twilight energy and light, and that closes an album that knows how to turn musical pulp into a refreshing ambrosia juice. The more the record is listened to, the more difficult it is to locate it in a specific geographical location.

The idea that drives this album refers us to one of the crucial attributes of music, and it is its inexhaustible capacity to generate moods that protect us at all times. Its meaning remains in the hands of lovers of electronic music, beyond the dance floor and all hedonism.

Theressia’s command of language is total, and here they have once again delved into the past to be inspired by another verse, more forceful and melancholic, but no less evocative. All in all, we can safely say that this album is on the verge of excellence.
