INTERVIEW: Raz Ohara

Raz Ohara, the eternal, enigmatic and polyhedral musician with an outstanding voice, is now seeing his latest work: “Tyrants”, and he will be on a stage in advance.

We have had the pleasure of interviewing him and this has been the result.

Hello! Where can we find you right now? How did you start your day?

Berlin, Kreuzberg, I’m in Cafe, I tried to call the my bank to deblock my account, but I didn’t get through – what a start of the day, thanks for asking !

When did you start making music? Has it always been something you wanted to do?

Yes, I saw famous musicians celebrating life in Saint Tropez during summer vacation.

As a child, that’s exactly what I wanted, long nights and free champaign. I failed to some extend.

How would you define the sound of your latest work?

My sound is warm, I create them form my very own recordings, it is important for me in order be in touch with my music, and to get a unique sound nobody else has done before, it is my own handwriting so to speak

How do you manage to combine such disparate genres? How do you manage to give them unity and harmony? What do they have in common for you?

It takes some time, I design the different sources of sound so they start to have a proper communication. So they meet on equal eye level without losing their own essence.

Tina Turner, Oliver Doerell, Francis Bebey…

What else is important we should know about your current and future projects?

I will keep holding the flag for mankind and the peace of all spirit of nature
