REVIEW: Azaad debuts on Dungeon Meat with hardhitting four-track EP ‘Sonic Boom’

Dungeon Meat are always guaranteed to release sonic weapons echoing their mantra and objective; ‘to bring the finest club cuts designed to detonate dancefloors’.

This rings true with the 13th release from the label, an EP from hot new talent Azaad. The dynamite is stacked, packed and ready to blow up clubs worldwide and the lucky few who possessed the promos, have been doing just that with the EP doing the rounds in establishments, festivals and events all over the world including DC-10, Bret, Underground Ibiza, Houghton and so many more.

Azaad has long built a name with music that spans multiple genres. Diversity in music is at the core of him. Azaad’s sound has a common feature recognized by recurring themes; the nostalgia, the melody and the cosmic depth, which drags you, but without losing energy.

This is a serious work, carefully cared for, which lends itself to starting and not returning to reality until it is finished: the headphones are like the oxygen canister that allow us to dive to the bottom of this great sound rotation, of this orbit cosmic, and being there in a state of hypnotic fascination.
