[VKU010] – VA [Review]

VK Underground has done it once  again with this amazing Various Artists’ EP with 5 smashing techno tracks. They always keep it simple, so they just call it “[VKU010]“. No  brainer at all, it is just its reference number. If we have to judge a book by its cover, this EP is an enormous WTF! I have to admit that I didn’t get the artwork at the beginning, but remember, they keep it simple.

They say that the order only attents strictly to the alphabetical order of the producers. I don’t know whether they made it that way or it is a mere coincidence, anyway, I don’t care. However, the order of this VA really works wonders to me.

Blaper is the artist in charge of opening this EP with his track Impulsive. As his previous works it’s an unforgiving techno track that is going to smash you on the dancefloor every single time.

Lizdeika, on the other hand, brings us a more intimate and personal track, that wanders between the minimal and progressive techno. A track that deserves to be carefully listened to.

Lucas Zamora, once again, is getting us on track with a stronger and pondering track with a kick that literally kicks you on your chest as any good club track should do.

Natika is going to attempt to chill us down for a bit, but not too much. Kitsugi is a very intelligent and clever track that is wandering between the progressive and melodic techno.
Once again, VK Underground is sailing between the fresh and briny waters of techno.

Finally, SNTN debuts on VK Underground with a true techno banger that drinks directly from the Birmingham Sound blended with the unique flavour of Barcelona, a city that currently is a true techno hot-spot.

We can say that this VA is a little one with a huge punch, capable of making move to anyone who can feel the vibe and the beat. In very few ocassions, we have been provided of such variety and quality in a compilation this short.
